Guideform Specs for Lamps  
The pulse start metal halide lamp(s) shall be Venture®, Uni-Form® pulse start product description or Venture part #______________ ANSI type M_ _ _/E. If used in an open luminaire, the lamp must be rated Open Fixture (O) which incorporates a quartz arc tube shroud and carries an ANSI code of M_ _ _/O. Venture designates their open rated pulse start lamps as "MP". The lamp carries a one year replacement warranty; or when operated with a Venture ballast, the limited two year warranty (assuming 5000 avg. burn hrs./year).

LAMP DESCRIPTION CODES

BU Lamps designed for base up (±15°) operating position

V Lamps designed for a vertical (±15°) operating position

C Lamps with a coated (diffuse) outer jacket

DE Double ended lamp

ED## Bulb shape and diameter in 1/8 in. (i.e. diameter of ED28 is 3.5 in.)

EL A Uni-Form pulse start metal halide lamp designed for operation on electronic ballasts in dimming applications

H75 Lamps designed for horizontal operation (±75° from horizontal)

HBD Lamps designed for horizontal to base down operating position (typically base down ±90°, except 1500W which is base down ±105°)

HBU Lamps designed for horizontal to base up operating position (or base up ±90°, except 1500W which is base up ±105°)

HOR Horizontal high-performance probe start lamps designed for horizontal ±45° operation; uses POM base
